A zero liquid discharge (ZLD) system is a wastewater treatment process that eliminates liquid waste and converts it into recycled water and solids. The process uses a series of advanced water treatment technologies, including:

• Pre-treatment

  Membranes like ultra-filtration filter wastewater, separating clean water for reuse and concentrating polluted water for further treatment

• Evaporation

  A brine concentrator uses heat and vapor compression to turn the concentrated water into a wet sludge
