A vertical agitated thin film dryer (ATFD-V) isa type of dryer that converts concentrated materials into solids or semi-solids.

• Feeding:The feed material is pumped to a heat exchanger
• Agitating:A high-speed rotor inside the dryer agitates the feed material, which is spread into a thin film on the heated wall
• Heating:The shell of the dryer is heated by steam
• Evaporating:The volatile components evaporate from the product layer
• Discharging:The final solid product is discharged by gravity at the bottom of the dryer
